We do not currently ship catalogues or brochures. We work hard to ensure that all the information for our products is available on our site, including measuring instructions, installation instructions, color charts and care/warranty information.
Free Samples! We know that the majority of our customers love seeing their potential new window treatments right in their own windows, which is why we offer free samples – with free shipping, too. You can color co–ordinate and get more peace of mind about ordering online.
Though we do our best to make sure that the colors printed on our site are accurate, actual colors may vary due to subtle color differences and textures that may not be fully appreciated on some monitors or screens.
The best way to ensure you’ll be happy with your colour is to request a sample before placing your order – it’s free! Once you receive your sample, keep in mind that all samples may still have minimal color variations as stated by the manufacturers. We’d also like to suggest that you order all of your blinds of a given color at one time, since there can be slight variations between dye lots.
“Back lighting” happens when light filters in through translucent fabrics from behind. Our swatches don’t show you the effect of back lighting, which can soften colours and highlight fabric textures. If you’d like to see how back lighting affects the colour or texture of a particular material, you should request a sample from us.
Unlike other sites, we only sell first quality products. They are made at our factories to your specifications and shipped directly to you. Each product is custom made with quality raw materials and components sourced from Australian suppliers to ensure the standard is high. We don’t sell any ready made products and we certainly don’t import ready made blinds and then cut them down to size, these are of inferior quality in our opinion.
In one word, yes. We cannot see your credit card details, it is passed securely via iFrame straight to our payment processor Braintree (which is owned by PayPal) and encrypted. To view more about how payment works on MyDirectBlinds.com.au, please visit our terms and conditions & policies page.
Please make sure you triple check your measurements before submitting your order. As each product is custom made we cannot adjust them after they are made. If you follow our easy measuring instructions you should have no problems.
Absolutely. Using the installation instructions found on our Web site, a few minutes and some simple hand tools, you should easily be able to install all of the products we carry.
However, if you have a problem installing any of our products, our customer service department is full of experts that can point you in the right direction.
An inside mount is when the blind, shade, or shutter fits inside of the window opening. Mounting as an inside mount generally has a cleaner, neater look. An outside mount is when the blind or shade is mounted above and around the window frame, and can be used if there isn’t enough depth to mount the product inside the opening. Sliding glass doors and wood cased shallow windows are popular outside mount choices. To read more about it visit the Measuring Page
No problem, we offer free advice if you need it. Email us a photo with your question to contact@mydirectblinds.com.au. On top of this we offer free samples.
Visit the product page and fill in all the required product options. Enter your measurements into the Width & Drop fields. Scroll to the bottom of the product options and press the Calculate button to get an instant price.
We currently do not ship fixings with your order as we do not know if you need to fix into brick, wood, plaster or metal. Each would require different fixings. You can visit your local hardware store such as Bunnings and let them know you are buying screws for your blinds, we have a list of the correct fixings needed at the top of our installation instruction page.
Our instructions are available on our website for download at here. They can be viewed or printed for ease of use in friendly pdf format.
We try to make sure you get your order as fast as possible. However, because our products are all custom made, there is a manufacturing time associated with every order. After the product is manufactured, the shipping time will vary based on the product ordered.
When you’re ordering, be sure to look at the manufacturing and shipping time on the product page, you can also find the full delivery information and delivery time frame estimates on our delivery info page here.
We don’t like to tout free delivery and work that into the price of the products like other websites, we don’t find that to be an honest business practice. You can view our full shipping costs and information here.
Use our Order Tracking page! You can also contact customer service to learn more about the status of your order. Be sure to have your order number on hand!
