We charge a flat rate fee per order, not per item Australia wide that varies per state:
At MyDirectBlinds.com.au we don’t like tout free delivery and then build the charge into the price of the blinds like other websites. We don’t find that to be an honest business practice. We make sure our customers know exactly what they are paying for.
We only charge one flat rate for the entire order.

Our extra heavy and bulky items (Plantation Shutters) will attract a 12.5% surcharge on the subtotal for that item only
Here are some important notes on shipping:
- No shipments can be made to PO Box addresses. Except for initial free samples
- For the fastest service possible, we ship most products directly from our manufacturing facility
- All delivery times listed on MyDirectBlinds.com.au’s website or on any other MyDirectBlinds.com.au’s material (ads, direct mail, emails, etc.) are estimates, we will do our best to notify you on the day of delivery
- Remote areas may require additional an shipping charge, we will contact you if this is the case

If you ordered a 3 day express item along with standard delivery items in the same order, we will contact you as we will require additional freight payment as they will be delivered separately. Otherwise they will be delivered in the same order but in the standard delivery window.
Some items such as Plantation shutters, Awnings, and Curtain Tracks may be delivered separately from your other orders, and could arrive on different dates.
Freight Damage and Missing Parts
Upon receiving your order please be sure to inspect boxes carefully, alert your driver and refuse delivery if you observe any obvious damage. If you find damaged items, please do not discard the boxes! We highly encourage you to take pictures of the damage and contact us immediately (within 24 hours ideally) so we can fix the problem or resend a replacement at no cost to you.
If any parts are missing from your order (including installation materials such as screws and brackets), please contact us within 30 calendar days and we’ll help you get replacement parts. If it has been more than 30 calendar days since you received your order, there will be a charge for any requested parts.
Delivery times given are estimates based on normal production and shipping times, and may vary depending on the product.
- Estimated delivery times include working days after our receipt of your completed order and exclude weekends, holidays and factory closing days.
- On occasion, there may also be delays caused by back ordered merchandise, factories slowing or stopping production to take inventory, temporary factory overload, or other unforeseen problems.
- Estimated delivery times may also vary heavily during peak seasons such as holidays and end of year.
Please Note: We will do our best to notify you the estimated day of delivery, when the items are dispatched from our premises we will update your order status on our track order page, you will also receive an email of the updated order status. It is your responsibility to ensure someone is home to accept delivery, If you are not at home or if there is no one to accept delivery of your order, the driver will leave your order in the safest and most sheltered place and take a photo for proof of delivery.
If you don’t want this to happen, please nominate an address at the time of purchase, where you are certain that someone will be there to accept delivery of your order during normal business hours of 9am-5pm, such as a neighbour or place of work, if you are delivering to your work address be wary of how you will potentially transport the items back to your home, some tracks and blinds can be extra large in length up to 3 metres and over in some cases and that is why we only do ‘Authority to Leave’ deliveries. Although we will cover damages sustained during transit, we cannot be held liable for any damages after the order has been delivered at the nominated address. Please leave instructions in the checkout if you will not be home and would like it to be left in a specific place, ie. Around the side. The inner packaging of the blinds are in a sealed plastic cover and will be resistant to the weather.
Discontinued and/or Back Ordered Items
At times, products or colors are discontinued or placed on back order by raw material suppliers we work with. We make every effort to remove discontinued items as soon as we are made aware of them. Whenever we receive notice of back ordered items, we will notify you immediately and give you the option to change or cancel your order.
