SureFit Plantation Shutter Measure Guarantee

At My Direct Blinds, we help you save by offering custom shutters designed for DIY measuring and installation. Since every shutter is made-to-order, precise measurements are crucial. However, we understand mistakes can happen. That’s why we offer our Expert Review & Measure Guarantee — giving you extra confidence when placing your order.

With this service, if your shutters don’t reasonably fit due to a measuring mistake, we’ll remake them free of charge.

How it works:

If you suspect an issue after attempting installation, simply email us at contact@mydirectblinds.com.au and our team will review your case and get back to you within 2-3 business days.

To qualify for the Measure Guarantee, you must:

  • Complete the full “Expert Review” order review process with us;
  • Be available for a follow-up call if needed;
  • Answer questions about your order to the best of your ability;
  • Share photos of your windows;
  • Double-check your measurements with us;
  • Re-measure if requested by our team.

Standard terms also apply:

  • Use a metal tape measure for all measurements;
  • Only measure finished, completed windows (no active construction);
  • No changes to orders once submitted to manufacturing will be available;
  • Standard deductions apply for internal fitting shutters, and this will be communicated to you during the expert review process.

Additional Measure Guarantee terms:

  • Gaps under 10mm and/or gaps caused by windows being out of square are considered acceptable.
  • If imported shutters are ordered and there is a measuring error, remakes cannot be produced locally.
  • If we find measurements were not taken correctly prior to production of the order, we may cancel the guarantee and refund the fee paid for this service.
  • You’ll only be charged for the difference in price if your windows are larger than your originally supplied measurements.
  • Only covers mis measurements, it has to be made in the same product and colour as the original.
  • The guarantee covers up to three blinds per household and we’ll only replace each blind once, so you’ll just need to make sure your second measurements are correct. We’ve got lots of measuring guides to help you and a friendly customer service team with loads of expertise if you have any questions.
  • In some cases, we may require your mismeasured blinds to be returned to us before processing your SureFit insurance claim. This will be organised entirely by us at no cost to you.
  • Shipping charges are applicable for the replacement shutter/blind.
  • Different shutter frames may be offered as a solution to have your panels fit your windows.

To make the process smooth and stress-free, we recommend carefully following all measuring instructions and having someone double-check your measurements. Measure twice, install once!
